Adjust Map Colors in Xmind

Adjusting colors in Xmind lets you quickly set mood, group ideas, and improve readability in your mind map. The Adjust Map Colors feature changes branch, topic, and background colors so your map is clearer at a glance. You can color individual topics or update the whole map.

To use the color tools, select a topic or branch, then open the color panel or style options in the toolbar. Choose from preset palettes, pick custom colors with the color picker, or apply a theme to the whole map for consistent styling. You can also copy a topic's style and paste it to other topics to keep colors uniform.

  • Select a topic or multiple topics to change only specific parts of the map.

  • Open the color panel to pick fill, border, and text color or use a palette for quick choices.

  • Apply a map theme or paste style across topics to keep colors consistent and save time.

Using color in Xmind helps you organize information visually, highlight priorities, and make maps easier to scan and present. For quick grouping, use palettes; for a polished, professional look, apply a theme to the whole map. Small color changes can improve clarity and speed up review.
