Insert GIFs in Xmind
Use GIFs to add motion and emphasis to topics in Xmind. GIFs can be inserted as floating topics or placed inside topics and subtopics to illustrate steps, show animations, or make presentations more engaging.
To add a GIF, select a topic or the canvas, choose Insert then Image or GIF, and pick a file from your computer. After insertion you can resize the GIF and apply border, shadow, or other formatting from the right-side panel.
Insert as a floating topic when you want an independent animation that does not affect map structure.
Place a GIF inside a topic or subtopic to demonstrate a process, a diagram step, or language stroke order.
Resize and align GIFs, and use opacity, border, or shadow settings to match layout and keep files lightweight.
GIFs grab attention and clarify motion or step-by-step ideas without the size of video files. Use GIFs in study notes, lesson plans, workout routines, or presentations to make information clearer and more memorable.
