Add Note in Xmind

The Note feature lets you attach detailed information to any topic without cluttering the map. Use notes to store explanations, links, or lists that support a topic. This is useful for research, project planning, and personal notes.

To add a note, select a topic and open the Insert menu or click the Note option in the toolbar. Type or paste your text into the note editor and close it when finished. Notes remain attached to their topic and do not clutter the canvas.

• Select the topic you want to annotate, then click Insert > Note in the toolbar.

• Type or paste content; notes accept plain text, lists, links, and basic formatting like bold, italic, and underline.

• Click the note icon to expand, edit, or delete the note so your map stays clean and focused.

Notes keep maps readable while preserving rich details for later review. Use notes to capture background information, meeting minutes, or reference links without interrupting your map flow.
