Why is my credit card payment failing?
If your payment fails when subscribing to Xmind, here are the most common causes and solutions:
1. Outdated card on file
If you've received a new card, your old card may still be set as the default payment method. Please update your payment method following this article.
2. ZIP / postal code required
Stripe (Xmind's payment processor) may require a billing ZIP code. If your country doesn't use ZIP codes (e.g., Switzerland), try entering your billing postal code or "00000". If that doesn't work, contact your bank to find out what billing ZIP is associated with your card.
3. Bank declined the charge
Your bank may have blocked the payment for security reasons. Check for a 3D Secure confirmation prompt in your bank's app, or contact your bank to authorize the transaction.
4. VPN interference
A VPN may cause a mismatch between your billing location and IP address, leading to payment declines. Disable your VPN before attempting payment.
5. Payment page not responding after submitting
Try a different browser or clear your browser cache, then retry. If the issue persists, contact Xmind Support with a screenshot of the error message.
