Starting with Xmind V26.05, Xmind introduces the Add Topic button and Floating Toolbar to make mind map editing faster and more convenient.
When you select a topic, you can use the Add Topic button to quickly create a subtopic or sibling topic without using keyboard shortcuts. Common editing options also appear in the Floating Toolbar next to the selected topic, giving you quick access to the tools you need.
How to Enable or Disable the Add Topic Button and Floating Toolbar
Launch the Xmind desktop app.
Click Xmind → Settings in the menu bar.
Go to the Editor.
Under When Topic is Selected, toggle the Floating Toolbar and Add Topic Button on or off as needed.
