Callout in Xmind

The Callout feature adds small note tags to topic boxes so you can highlight details, reminders, links, or quick labels without cluttering the main text. Callouts act as lightweight notes attached to topics and can be customized in shape, color, position, and content.

To add a callout, select a topic and choose Insert > Callout in the top navigation; then type, resize, drag, or change the shape and color to suit your map. Callouts can include text, links, or attachments and are useful for time/location notes, events, or emphasis.

• Select a topic, click Insert > Callout, and enter a short note.

• Drag the callout to adjust position and use formatting to change shape and color for visual distinction.

• Use callouts for situation details, complications, or to highlight the central idea without altering the main topic text.

Callout in Xmind keeps maps clean while adding contextual info and quick reminders. Use it when you need lightweight tags that stand out but do not interrupt the map structure.
