Planned Task in Xmind

The Planned Task feature in Xmind turns ideas into scheduled, trackable tasks inside your mind map. It adds priority, start and end time, duration, and progress so you can manage work without leaving the map.

To create a planned task, right-click a node or use the top toolbar, choose Planned Task, then set start and end dates, priority, duration, and progress. Xmind can calculate progress automatically from subtasks or let you update it manually. You can also set priority to mark urgency.

  • Add a Planned Task: right-click a node or use the toolbar, set start/end dates and priority.

  • Track progress: let Xmind calculate from subtasks or enter percent complete manually.

  • Use duration and timeline: set duration for planning and visualize phases.

Planned Task helps keep long-term projects and daily to-dos organized in one view. Use it to turn ideas into actionable steps and keep progress visible without extra tools.
