Advanced Layout

Xmind offers enhanced control over your mind map's structure, including free positioning of branches, flexible placement of floating topics, and the ability to overlap topics.

Branch Free-Positioning

  • Function: Enables free movement of mind map branches for personalized layouts.

  • Usage: In format panel under Advanced Layout, select Branch Free-Positioning to commence branch maneuvering. To undo, use the Ctrl+Z shortcut or uncheck.

Flexible Floating Topic

  • Function: Allows placing floating topics anywhere within the mind map without automatic linkage to other topics.

  • Usage: Find Advanced Layout in the format panel, check Flexible Floating Topics. To undo, use the Ctrl+Z shortcut or uncheck.

Topic Overlap
