Record to Map

Record to Map lets you record your thoughts directly in Xmind, view your speech transcribed in real time, and let AI organize your recording into a Mind Map you can continue editing, refining, and sharing.

Open Record to Map

1️⃣ Open Xmind on your iPad or iPhone, you can Pull down the screen to find the hero section, where you can find the Record card.

Record to Map is available on Apple Intelligence–compatible devices running iOS/iPadOS 26 or later.

2️⃣ Tap Record to open the recording screen.

3️⃣ Before recording, choose where you want to place your generated mind map. By default, your work is saved locally on your iPad/iPhone. You can switch to save it to the cloud if you want to access or collaborate on it across devices or teams.

Start Recording Your Thoughts

1️⃣ Tap the Record button to start recording. Xmind will automatically transcribe your speech in real time while you record, allowing you to see your spoken words appear as text.

2️⃣ You can pause the recording whenever needed and resume it later to continue capturing your ideas.

Convert Your Record to Mind Map

1️⃣ When your recording is ready, tap the button to convert your record to a mind map. Xmind will identify key information and organize it into a structured, editable mind map.

2️⃣ The transcript will saved as notes in your central topic, so you can revisit the original transcript whenever needed.

3️⃣ You can then continue working with the generated map just like any other Mind Map in Xmind.

💡Attention: This feature requires AI credits. Please keep your device connected to the internet while AI is generating your map.
