Callout

Callouts are effective for incorporating supplementary text and annotating a topic in Xmind. More than just a shape, a callout serves as a helpful addendum to the topic.

Add Callout

  • Select the topic and click Callout in the top menu bar to add it.

  • Use a combination of customize shortcuts to add.

Note: Shortcuts can be customized in Preferences > Shortcut in the top menu bar.

Delete Callout

  • Select the callout and press the or Right Click > Delete.

Modify Callout Styles

Xmind supports callout customization, which allows you to enrich the style of it by editing shapes, colors, text and other elements.

  • Click on the callout and modify it in Style in the Format on the right.

  • Modify the shape of the callout. Rounded corners, ellipses, and rectangular bubble shapes are available.

  • Changing the fill color of the callout.

  • Font, color, size and other text styles of the callout description text.

  • You can also revert to the style that comes with the template by clicking Reset Style.
