Shortcuts

Leverage built-in and customized shortcut keys in Xmind to streamline your mind mapping process. Shortcuts allow you to bypass redundant actions, making your experience smoother and more efficient.

Using Built-in Shortcuts

Xmind supports scrolling through or searching for specific shortcuts.

Go to Xmind > Settings > Shortcuts to access the complete list of Xmind’s default shortcuts.

Customizing Shortcuts

You can customize the shortcuts by changing their key combinations.

1️⃣ Go to the shortcuts panel.

2️⃣ Click the box next to the shortcut you want to modify.

3️⃣ If the action already has a shortcut assigned, click the cancel button next to it.

4️⃣ Click the box again, then press the new key combination you want to use.

💡 Attention: Within a key combination, each type of key (such as letter keys or function keys) can only be used once.

5️⃣ Click Apply to complete the customization.

Restoring Defaults

To restore all shortcuts to their original key combinations, click Restore Default Shortcuts in the lower-left corner.
