Export Task

After planning your tasks in Xmind, you can export them and keep working seamlessly in the tools you’re already familiar with. Whether it’s Notion or Google Calendar, Export Task helps you stay aligned with your workflow—without duplicating effort.

How to export task from Xmind

Export as Excel (CSV)

Export your tasks as a .csv file to manage them in other tools like Excel, Notion, Jira, etc.

  1. Go to Export > Excel (Task)

  1. Choose a save location for the .csv file.

  2. In CSV exports:

  • Task ID = Topic ID, used to identify task path and dependencies

  • Task path includes summary tasks above the current task, separated by /

  • Dependencies are listed by Topic ID + type (e.g. abc123FS)

  • Multiple assignees or dependencies are separated by a comma and space

Export to Calendar (ICS)

Export tasks with start dates to a .ics file and import them into Apple Calendar, Outlook, or other calendar apps.

  1. Go to Export > Calendar (Task).

  2. Save the .ics file and import it into your calendar app.

Please Note:

  • Only tasks with a start date will be exported

  • If there are no tasks in your map, you’ll see a message:

  • Only tasks created via Task will be exported, To-dos are not included.
