Questions You May Ask

Draw to Map

Draw to Map in Xmind lets you turn hand-drawn sketches on iPad into structured, editable mind maps. You can use Apple Pencil to freely capture ideas, meeting notes, class notes, or brainstorms, then let AI convert your sketch into a Mind Map you can continue editing, organizing, and sharing.

Open the Draw Canva

1️⃣ Open Xmind on your iPad, you can Pull down the screen to find the hero section, where you can find the Draw card.

2️⃣ Tap Draw to enter the drawing canvas.

Choose a Save Location

By default, your work is saved locally on your iPad. You can switch to save it to the cloud if you want to access or collaborate on it across devices or teams.

Sketch Your Ideas with Apple Pencil

Now you can use Apple Pencil to capture your ideas naturally. The Draw canvas works like a familiar drawing canvas on iPad. You can write, draw, highlight, erase, and adjust your sketch freely.

Convert Your Sketch to Mind Map

1️⃣ When your sketch is ready, tap Generate. Xmind AI will analyze your hand-drawn content and then convert them into a structured Mind Map.

2️⃣ When the conversion is complete, your original hand-drawn sketch is kept as an image in the Central Topic.

3️⃣ You can then continue working with the generated map just like any other Mind Map in Xmind.

💡Attention: This feature requires AI credits. Please keep your device connected to the internet while the conversion is in progress.
