Link

Xmind supports inserting links to related content in topics, including webpage links, topic links, local file and local folder.

Webpage Link

Web content can be collected, organized and viewed more easily.

  • Click on the topic and insert it by choosing Link > Webpage in Insert on the toolbar.

  • Select the topic and click Insert > Link > Webpage in the top menu bar.

  • Select the topic and use a combination of shortcuts:

Topic Link

These links facilitate seamless navigation between topics and efficient content linkage. Deploy them within a single sheet to connect multiple topics, or use them to easily jump across different sheets.

Insert Topic Link

  • To create a topic link, first, select your desired topic. Then, in the toolbar, choose Links and then Topics from the Insert options. A pop-up window will appear. Select your target topic from this list, then click Insert to create the link.

  • Select a topic, choose Insert > Links > Topic in the top menu bar, select the target topic you want to jump to in the pop-up window, and click Insert to do so.

Note: Topic links are now supported two-way links.

Edit/Delete Topic Link

  • Use the right mouse button to edit or delete topic links.

Local File Link

Xmind supports inserting links to local files (not for macOS version).

  • Select the topic, select Links > Local Files in the toolbar’s Insert, and in the pop-up window select the file you want to insert.

Local Folder Link

Xmind supports linking to a local folder.

  • Select the topic, choose Link > Local Folder from the Insert in the toolbar, and select the folder you want to insert in the pop-up window to insert.
